How long does the quiz take?
Most people finish in about two to three minutes. There are 12 questions, each with three to four answer choices. You can retake the quiz as many times as you like — your answers are stored only in your own browser and are never sent to a server.
Are the Michael Jackson facts on this site historically accurate?
Yes. Every fact block on the site is cross-referenced against published biographies, contemporary press coverage (Billboard, Rolling Stone, The New York Times), Grammy and Guinness World Records data, and public interviews. Which Michael Jackson album should I start with if I am a new fan?

When did Michael Jackson invent the moonwalk?
Michael performed the move publicly for the first time on March 25, 1983 during the Motown 25: Yesterday, Today, Forever television special at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium, while singing Billie Jean. He learned the underlying step from soul dancer Jeffrey Daniel of the group Shalamar and had been rehearsing it privately at home for weeks. The move existed in street dance before 1983 — Michael was the person who took it global.

Yes. Because the site displays third-party advertising and uses cookies for basic analytics, we require all users to confirm they are 13 years of age or older before proceeding. The age acknowledgement appears on the cookie consent banner the first time you visit the site.
Why do I see advertisements on the site?
Advertising revenue is what allows us to keep the quiz completely free and to keep writing new fan articles, era guides, and trivia facts.
