The place in the tour story

The artist's archive documents a Bad World Tour performance on July 15, 1988. That date is a useful starting point for comparing the Bad stage show with later tours, rather than treating every Wembley recording as the same concert.

An official retrospective describes the Dangerous Tour's 1992 Wembley sound setup as a 115-channel system with 180 speakers and eight audio engineers. Those numbers are the official site's account, not independently audited measurements. They help explain why stadium sound is a production problem as well as a musical one.

The HIStory archive records three July 1997 dates at Wembley. The span between the Bad and HIStory engagements lets a fan compare how the same city's stadium audience encountered different album identities: the sharp Bad presentation and the larger retrospective structure of HIStory. That comparison is our editorial reading, not a claim that the shows were identical.
